Edge Biosystems

Challenge:

This company is at the forefront of the life science industry. They develop products and protocols for the DNA sequencing and PCR purification markets, and they’re known for the quality of their people and products. On the surface, their brand needed a significant upgrade to increase their visibility, but they also needed a robust arsenal of communications tools including web development, digital advertising, stationery design, packaging, and more.

 

 

Solution:

After speaking at length with various figures in their ownership group, research team, and client base, we determined that they would benefit from a clean, bright, simple design to bring together the various, disparate elements in the marketing. As their message was focused on a claim of supplying more of what a client wanted and less of what they didn’t, we generated a syntax of arrow and chevron forms to indicate an “onwards and upwards” takeaway.

This set of graphic elements was then applied in various dominant and supporting roles throughout their website, package design, stationery, and other applications. The result gave them a unified, easily recognizable identity in an industry where consistency is highly valued but seldom found.

By leaning into their message of providing more of what you want and less of what you don’t using with bold arrows and chevrons, we gave their website, packaging, and stationery a fresh, recognizable identity. The result? A brand that stands out in the life science world, while keeping things simple, consistent, and easy to remember.
